Hublot was the first luxury brand to invest in football back in 2008. The brand was the "Official Timekeeper" for UEFA EURO 2008. Jean-Claude Biver, Chairman of Hublot and the watches division for LVMH, was the man behind Hublot's entry into the world of football. His idea was to "go to where the potential customer is". In 2010, the company became the first historic "Official Timekeeper" for FIFA and the next two Football World Cups in 2014, Brazil, and 2018, Russia. Master-strokes that offer Hublot unrivalled visibility on the world stage. In 2015, Hublot became the official timekeeping partner for the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League. The brand also works closely with the most prestigious clubs in the world (Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Chelsea).
The now famous Hublot panels will also be there on the pitches. They are used by the fourth official to indicate extra time and player changes. They are now an essential feature of major competitions after their introduction at UEFA EURO 2008TM. They have a distinctive look and have a bespoke design following the style of each of the competitions.
